East Cemetery & Culp's hills

eastcem2
Although less famous (and visited) than Little Round Top, the area around East Cemetery and Culp's hills, which served as the right flank of the Union fishhook line, saw intense action throughout the battlefield. The large concentration of Union monuments in the area is testament to the infantry and cavalry fighting in the area.

This area is also notable as the first section of the battlefield to be preserved after its purchase by the Gettysburg Battlefield Memorial Association.
